Moms Who Thrift Interview w/Morgan White

Moms Who Thrift Interview w/Morgan White

Hi Everyone,

I am so excited to announce our first guest feature, Morgan White, from Expecting Grey.

If you are not following her, please do so right now. I started following her years ago, we met a few times, she's just as sweet and chic in person as she is online.

I caught up with Morgan to gain some insight on her styling process and her love of vintage Levis.

1. When did you fall in love with the Levi's brand?
I fell in love with Levi’s years ago (before the crew was ever thought about) when I realized how timeless and versatile they are. There’s something about the perfect pair of vintage Levi’s that just gets better with time. Whether dressed up or down, they always feel effortlessly cool.

2. Do you still own the first pair of Levi's you purchased for your children or yourself?
Yes! I still have my very first pair of vintage Levi’s, and they hold so many memories. As for my kids, I’ve kept some of their earliest pairs, especially the ones with the best wear and character.

3. Favorite style of Levi’s for you and the family?
For me, I love a classic 505—you can never go wrong with them. For the family, it depends on the vibe! The kids look adorable in 550s for that relaxed, vintage feel.

4. Orange or red label?
I appreciate both, but there’s something special about the orange label.

5. You and your family have impeccable style. I love how you incorporate vintage with luxury brands into your personal style. What's one piece of advice you would give for people who are trying to curate a wardrobe for their family?
Thank you so much! My biggest advice would be to invest in timeless pieces. Find staple items that work across seasons and pair them with unique thrifted finds or statement luxury pieces. Also, don’t be afraid to repeat your outfits! A well-curated wardrobe isn’t about having more—it’s about having pieces that truly work for your lifestyle and can be styled in different ways. Mixing vintage with luxury allows for a unique, personal touch, and when you find what works for you and your family, embrace it!

6. Your son Mercer looks so cute in his Canadian tuxedo fit! I must ask, are his pieces passed down from his sisters?
Yes! We love to keep clothing in rotation. Mercer has definitely inherited some denim from his sisters, and I love seeing how the same pieces take on new life with each kid.

7. Are we saving the vintage Levi’s for future grandchildren?
Absolutely! Some pieces are just too special to part with. I love the idea of passing them down to future generations—everything tells a story, and I want our family’s style journey to live on through them.
